The Wildflower is a reproduction of an exquisite bronze by sculptor Edward Berge, which was displayed at the Palace of Fine Arts during the 1915 Pan Pacific International Exposition. Historian E.E. Burden reported that she was the most popular garden piece in the exhibition.
