Lake and Pond Aerators

Aeration is extremely important for lakes and ponds. Whether you have a small body of water on your property for its decorative beauty or you have a large lake used for fishing, canoeing, and other purposes, you must choose from the proper pond aerators or lake aerators. Without these devices, your pond or lake will certainly suffer.

Keeping Water Oxygenated

When pond or lake water is left alone, it will not move much. The surface may be ruffled by the breeze, but that is it. The result is stagnant water that does not get enough oxygen to stay clean below the surface. This stagnant water can be a breeding ground for insects, algae, and bacteria. Stagnant water can kill fish or make them extremely unhealthy. It will not be attractive, and it can even have an unpleasant smell. An aerator that is too small will not be able to move the water throughout the pond. You will also need to consider other options for your aerator. You need to make sure you choose a model that can provide the right amount of oxygenation.
