How to Install a Wall Fountain
Most wall fountain installations require two people. Although not required, we recommend installing a GFI electrical outlet in the wall directly behind where the fountain will be placed prior to installing the fountain. You can hire an electrician in your area to do this for you. This will eliminate the problem of unsightly hanging cords. Place the electrical outlet near the center of the fountain so that it is not directly behind either the basin or hood of the fountain. For double and triple panel fountains, the electrical outlet should be placed behind the left-most stone as you face it on the wall.
If you choose to install an electrical outlet behind the stone, we recommend wiring it to a wall switch that will enable you to easily turn your fountain on and off without having to reach behind the stone to pull out the plug.
Another option available to you, should you not want to have an electrical outlet specially installed, is simply to disguise the cord by placing a plant or other decor in front of it.
Fountains can be installed on almost any type of wall, including cinder block and metal stud walls. Heavier wall fountains must be mounted into studs, wood, or metal. Never attempt to hang a heavy wall fountain from sheet rock or plaster. Instructions are included with each of our fountains to guide you through the installation process.
Smaller wall fountains do not require complicated installation and can simply be hung on the wall like a picture.
