GreenFree UV Clarifier

The GreenFree UV Clarifier provides permanent control of suspended algae which cause green water. Heavy algae blooms are removed in most ponds within 5 days, keeping the pond algae free. This means water clarity is improved while reducing pond maintenance. The GreenFree UV Clarifier is compact, durable, easy-to-install and energy efficient. UV Bulb (made by Philips) provides 11 months of continuous operation.

Pond water containing single-cell algae is pumped into clarifier. Ultra-violet light destroys single-cell algae's ability to reproduce and reflective stainless steel surface increases UV exposure (and prevents internal degradation of plastic housings). Single-cell algae dies, clumps and is removed by filtration.

The most efficient flow rate is 50% of total pond volume. The UV Clarifier is not submersible and should be brought in during the winter months when temperatures are at or below freezing.

Comes in four different sizes: 5 Watt (for ponds up to 660 gal), 9 Watt (up to 1800 gal), 18 Watt (up to 4400 gal) and 36 Watt (up to 8800 gal).
